The Great War in the East was seen by many, both then and today as a sideshow operation, with campaigns in the Hijaz as being a sideshow of a sideshow. Yet a Prime Minister and the General Commanding in theater saw it as an opportunity for winning the war in the West by winning it in the East.

While this position is debatable, what is not is the valor and heroism shown by this multi-national force that fought from the Libyan Desert to Persia and from Yemen to the Russian Frontier.

This site is to look at this often over looked conflict from a scholarly and avocational perspective. I will endeavor to make the site friendly to both those interested in the history and gaming this conflict.
